How to improve your memory and concentration
improving memory capabilities to hold all your subjects in one time needs lots of practice, i won't tell you that it needs no effort, but it needs lots of practising and re-reading the subjects one time after another.(see also memory techniques for studying)
Know that you take one exam at a time for one subject so you shouldn't have all the subjects in your mind one time, your mind will handle only one subject at a time, and when in the exam time, you will handle one question at a time, so dividing your thinking like this can improve you memory and concentration to a higher extent because stress -which is defined as the many tasks that is given to an individual with no resources- can make you forget everything you studied, and that's why you forget what you studied.
I used to use a pencil and a a new paper each time i start studying, why do i use a pencil, to rub wrong things and rewrite the correct ones, and if i used a pen, i throw the paper that i wrote wrong things in it in the dust bin and don't return to it once again.(see also how to concentrate in studies for long hours)
It is known that what you write from brain sticks to your brain, so try studying study materials first and then solve questions from your brain, and if you did something wrong look at the answer and learn it, then write it from your brain also, i used to do this too.
keep doing this by reading and writing and make it a habit, this way you will improve your memory and concentration.
- Stress can make you forget: to increase your memory you should be relaxed because stress can make you forget things you studied already, and to decrease stress you should ready for exam by studying well.
- divide the subject in your mind: don't think about more than one question's answer at a time, that's why it's always recommended to solve exams in sequence and to not jump to the next question till you finish the previous question first.
- Write on papers: writing on papers makes you concentrate and memorize subjects better, because you move all your senses when you write, that's why it is recommended to study by writing.
