How to revise for an exam. Revision is the final stage for the subject, and it depends, some revisions are important, and some are not, some are complementary for the study technique that you did through the year, and some are like studying the whole subject from the first, there are other ways of revision, which are the ones that are not important.
Some revisions are not important because you did what is required to do for the exam like studying hard for the exam, solving exams, solving questions and doing study guides for the exam this way you don't need to revise for the exam if you felt that you already have the confident needed for the exam except for little effort to be done, like reading exams and solving it virtually in your mind.
An important thing for you to do before exams is to write previous years exams; writing previous years exams will make you more familiar with the exams, will make you read the question in the best way and will make you feel confident for the exam.
How to Revise For an Exam
Here is a step by step procedure to help you revise for the exam:-
- Write exam questions: write exam question in a separate paper or a separate copy book, writing exams makes you read the question quite good, fix the details of the exam in your mind and separate between the hard and easy questions.
- Solve the similar exam questions: know that the exam comes in the sequence of the subject, so the first comes first not to predict things before it may happen.
- Read the part of the subject you solved: after solving the similar exam questions, study the part of the subject you just solved, by this way you fixed in your mind the information that you solved.
- Repeat the previous steps for the whole exam and by similarity the whole subject: this way is a slow way to revise your whole subject, this way is recommended if you have plenty of time to revise for the exam.
Know that understanding the question of the exam is 75% of solving the exam right and writing the exam questions help you understand the exam right.
Solving similar exam questions, like solving the first question from all the exams; at college the subject may change from year to the next year but the curriculum keeps being the same, here you can choose the similar questions from each exam.
What is a fast way to Revise For an Exam
The fastest way is to solve lesser numbers of exams (maybe one or two) by the same previous way (Writing it and reading the part of the subject of the question you solved) then if you have time redo the same method again and again.
