How to set goals

There are 4 steps that your team should participate in each one :-

1)establish the goals: that will bring about the achievement of the vision. Although this is not measurable, they are more specific that your original vision.

For example, your vision may be "to get excellent marks in your project" making that a reality might require the team to achieve a several goals such as " taking with the doctor 2 time a weak to know exactly what he wants in the project"

2)agree the objectives: the second step is to agree to objectives, again with the active participation of your team. These must be more defined, to enable you to evaluate what movement has been made towards achievement of the goal, and ultimately, the vision.

3)determine tasks: the third step is to determine the tasks which will accomplish the objectives. Tasks are concrete, measurable events that must occur if the objectives are to be achieved.

4)set priorities and schedules: finally, the team needs to assign a priority for each of the tasks, so that some kind of schedule can be established. This enables the team to determine the order in which the tasks must be accomplished, and by what date.

you should take care how to recognize your objective:- Objectives need to be S.M.A.RT.

S: Specific it should specify who, what, when, why, so that the team specify how

M: measurable objective must be measurable, for example when you say you should finish you report tomorrow is different that your report should be finished

A: Achievable the objective should be achievable, which means that it cab be done not a goal that cant be done

R: Relevant easy to be understand

T: Time Specific

They enable evaluation of progress. Also prevent impossible missions.
