Types of question in the interview

questions to know your previous behavior

Knowing about your previous behavior shows what you will do in the future, so if your previous behavior was bad for example, you left the company after a fight with your boss, this will indicate that your behavior was bad, and if you left a previous company because of the low salary this is positive. The question maybe in the following way:-

• Tell me about your previous work experience.

• Why did you left the company

• Recall an instance when you reached the deadline with your work undone

• Tell me about a time when you where asked to be a leader

• Give me an example of a bad day

Always try to be positive and change negative into positive, don’t try to lie, your answer should not exceed 90 seconds, because this is the attention time.

Questions that describes situations and hypothetic

This kind of questions is asked to know more about you and how will you act in different situations, you should be (Know How to ask questions) confident and ready to do what is asked to you by the interviewer.

• What you will do if you reached your deadline and your project isn't finished?

• What you will do if your supervisor isn't there and you want to take a quick decision?

• What you will do if you where asked to do something you didn’t do before like holding a seminar for the newcomers?

Questions to show your skills:-

The interview next will ask you questions to show him what skills do you have, if you know the answer great! But if you don’t know it, don’t fake it, show the attitude that you want to learn more about it, and show your skills in another thing.

Example

• What is the difference between the servers side and the client side computers?

• What do you know about the diode?

• Tell me more about the law of refraction?

Questions for problem solving:-

The interviewer will ask you such questions, to know your ability of how you think in different situations, is it logical thinking, creative and a quick one?

Examples

• How many cars in your town?

• How big is the book fair expo in New York?

• How can you market a website?

• How to advertise for a product?

It doesn’t matter to answer right, but what matters is what you are saying if it is logic, clear, and quick or not.

Listen carefully to what is said to you, and leave two seconds after the question is asked for you to answer the question.

Ask clarifying questions to know whether you understand the question in the right way he want you to.

• Answer first by describing how will you gather the data.

• Explain your answer based on the data you gathered from the explanation.

Asking negative questions

The interviewer may ask some negative questions to know more about your points of weakness and strength :-

Questions may be:-

• Tell me more about your weakness as an employee.

• Recall a situation when you didn’t manage to finish on the deadline, what did you do?

• Recall a situation when you did a bad decision what did you do then?

Be honest and say a real weakness that you pass through in your work previously, avoid saying that you don’t do mistakes, because this may disappoint the interviewer, make sure to say a positive note about the situation at the end.

Classic questions:-

• Introduce yourself

• What are your short and long plan?

• Why do you want the job?

• Why would we choose you for this job?

• What other roles are you looking for?

• What supervisory or leadership role did you hold?

• What was your most satisfying/disappointing experience?

• What motivates you to do a good job?

• How do you sell your idea to others?
