study skills for high school students. in Egypt, students usually take private courses for each and every subject in their high school, i never took a private course in grade 10 but in grade 11 and 12, i took some private courses which helped me to achieve my goal in getting great marks, so there are more than one study skills for high school students, those who took private courses -whom didn't go to school- and those who went to school everyday that didn't take private courses.

i am abyooda who got A+ marks in grade 11 and 12 and yet didn't take private courses in all subjects and depend on himself on those subjects that he didn't take private courses in but also he took some revisions in those subjects that he didn't take private courses in and this was his studying style in high school.

• study from different sources: it is best to study from different "books" and not depend on papers, because as it is better in the Gym to raise free weights rather than playing on the machine, also when studying it is better to study from books rather from different private courses papers, because this will make you mind much more flexible and much more understanding.(see also how to learn for the exams fast)
• focus all the way: try to isolate yourself in these years (11 and 12), remember that you want to get high marks to make your dream come true, so distracting yourself with friends telling you they studied this or that or someone asks a question about something you don't know will sure makes you distracted, that's why being somehow isolated will fix this problem of distraction.
• when taking private coursestake private courses with reputable teachers: i used to ask some high marked elder students about the teacher that i'll take private course with, this way i make sure that the teacher i'll take the course with is good (see also study tips for high school students)
• see if you would like revisions at the end of the year or not: you can know this by estimating the remaining time if it is suitable to take revisions on them or not,sometimes revisions are so important sometimes they are not if you are sure of yourself, some teachers leaves a big portion of the subject for revisions, this way you can't neglect revision. at the end, you may always ask elder colleagues and friends (those who got high marks and those who entered you dream university )for help when you want to, don't be hesitate to ask them for a better study skills for high school students.
